Barcelona’s Squad Leaves for Late Asia Tour
The team was originally scheduled to fly out on Thursday for a three-match exhibition series in Japan and South Korea. However, a dispute concerning the contract for their opening fixture against Japan’s Vissel Kobe forced the club to delay its departure, casting serious doubt over whether the tour would proceed.
That uncertainty has now been resolved, and the squad successfully boarded their flight on Friday.
Head coach Hansi Flick has selected a 30-man roster for the trip, including high-profile new additions Marcus Rashford and goalkeeper Joan Garcia.
Several players from Barcelona’s B-team are also included in the traveling party. In addition to the matchup with Vissel Kobe, Barcelona will face two South Korean clubs—Seoul FC and Daegu FC—during the tour.
