Russian soldier holds Ukrainian drone with only his hands
The video shows the drone entering a camouflaged dugout before the soldier emerges holding the device. He then slams the UAV against a tree multiple times, breaking its rotors and disabling it, before tossing it into a nearby crater and returning to his post.
Reflecting on the moment, the soldier said, “I know I could have died, but I’d rather risk my life than let the drone take out several of our guys.”
FPV (first-person view) drones have become a widespread, cost-effective weapon on both sides of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, commonly used to strike vehicles, fortifications, and even individual soldiers. In recent months, both Russia and Ukraine have introduced fiber optics-guided FPV drones, which offer longer range and immunity to electronic interference compared to traditional radio-controlled models.
