Israeli Airstrikes Kill Over Forty Palestinians in Gaza
Al-Awda Hospital, located in the heart of Gaza’s Nuseirat refugee camp, disclosed in a press release that eight individuals were killed and numerous others wounded while waiting for humanitarian aid near the Netzarim Corridor.
Meanwhile, five fatalities occurred close to an aid distribution site west of Rafah, the southernmost city in Gaza. The victims were subsequently taken to the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis, as confirmed by a hospital statement.
Beyond the 13 deaths documented by medical facilities, Gaza’s Civil Defense reported an additional 28 fatalities amid continuous Israeli airstrikes sweeping across the region.
According to a concise statement from the Civil Defense, Israeli air raids commenced in the early hours, targeting residential buildings, tents sheltering displaced families, and crowds gathered in the al-Tuffah and al-Shuja'iyya neighborhoods east of Gaza City, along with strikes in Khan Younis and Jabalia.
No immediate response or acknowledgment has been provided by Israeli officials regarding these assaults.
Since Israel reignited its military offensive on March 18 following a two-month ceasefire in the conflict with Hamas, Gaza’s health authorities report that at least 5,599 Palestinians have died and 19,097 have been injured. This raises the total death toll in Gaza since the war began in October 2023 to 55,908, with 131,138 wounded, according to data released Saturday.
