Global take on small business news

Andrii Sybiha Criticizes Putin’s Statements

(MENAFN) Ukraine’s Deputy Foreign Minister, Andrii Sybiha, on Friday sharply criticized Russian President Vladimir Putin for his “cynical statements,” which he said reflect blatant disregard for global initiatives aimed at halting the conflict in Ukraine.

Sybiha’s remarks came in response to Putin’s declaration, “Wherever a Russian soldier steps is ours,” made at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

The Ukrainian official asserted that Russian forces bring only “death, destruction, and devastation” to every area they enter.

He further accused Putin of callously sacrificing Russian lives in the conflict.

“He already disposed one million Russian soldiers in a senseless bloodbath in Ukraine without achieving a single strategic goal. One million soldiers. Two million feet.”

According to Sybiha, the only path to peace involves stripping Russia of its perceived immunity from consequences.

He appealed to the international community to strengthen Ukraine’s defense through increased weapons support, to enforce severe economic penalties, and to diplomatically isolate the Kremlin.
